Pardon us a little nostalgia trip as we hearken back to the heady days of Q107, when Amy Winehouse had only been involuntarily committed a few times and the future of satellite radio seemed to be a dreamy image of cooperation and customer attention.

Yep, its a full year since satradio competitors XM and Sirius rolled out their merger proposal, and there's still not the slightest hint when federal regulators will decide whether or not to allow it. For me, a positive ruling can't come too soon, so as I can secretly choose an ala carte programming plan that "accidentally" excludes the Sirius Blue-Collar Comedy channel the missus has grown so fond of. Git 'er done, FCC!
