Daftbranding

Montevina, the forthcoming successor to Intel's Santa Rosa chipset, will be the last to be branded with the august "Centrino" label, according to a report in Taiwan's DigiTimes. It will be known to consumers as Centrino 2!

"Intel is set to launch the Centrino 2 platform in Computex Taipei 2008
along with six 45nm notebook CPUs, all with a 1066MHz FSB. Core speeds will range between 2.26-3.06GHz and prices between US$209-851 in
1000-unit tray quantities."

Maybe Capcom could one day be put in charge of chip branding, so that we may be further confused by Centrino 2 Duo EX 2 Alpha III.
