Special_delivery_r1_12Hoping to piggyback on the success of online shows like quarterlife, Prom Queen and Roommates, MySpaceTV is taking a stab at an unscripted, hidden-camera-style reality series with a new show called Special Delivery.

The web video series captures pranks pulled on unsuspecting delivery people, who will be roped in to help with bizarre requests like birthday dances for pets and offbeat marriage proposals. The premiere episode, which debuted Monday, features a prankster photographer duping a Chinese-food-delivery guy into posing for several sexy shots.

The result? Lukewarm funny, but the show has potential to get better. Given the rabid success of MySpace’s scripted-reality, twenty-something drama quarterlifewhich was picked up by NBC, and premieres on TV Tuesday nightSpecial Delivery could be onto something. Candid Camera and Punk’d! both had their moments of pure, unadulterated hilarity, so anything is possible — not to mention that it’s great to see more support for professionally developed content packaged exclusively for online audiences.

MySpaceTV plans to run a total of 18 episodes, releasing two webisodes per week. Watch the first one, "Strike a Pose," below and let us know what you think.
