EA is offering a refund to anyone who purchased the Wii version of Medal of Honor Heroes 2 in Australia who was disappointed to learn that the game lacks online functionality.
EA removed the online play from the game and, oopsie, kind of forgot to mention it to anyone, including the folks who designed the game's cover, which indicated that online was an included feature. So did the instruction manual. So did EA's website.
EA admitted the documentation errors, apologized for any confusion their mistake may have created for consumers, and offered to give folks their money back. All of which is exactly the right thing to do, but why'd they take the online out in the first place?
IGN speculates that the company would need to run local servers to cut down on lag, and decided they'd rather not. EA Australia, meanwhile, "do not wish to comment."
