Sources supposedly tight with Creative Technologies say the company is taking inspiration from Microsoft's Zune (insert joke here) and working on a WiFi-equipped addition to its Zen line of media players. It will supposedly be called the Zen Share and will come out in May or June.
Long-term memory prodigies will recall that song-sharing did not turn out to be the secret weapon that slays the iPod beast, and Microsoft subsequently had to retool its whole marketing approach away from the supposed social advantages of Zunedom.
P.S. -- Am I brain-damaged for not noticing until now that "Zune" is one letter away from "Zen?" Or for paying attention to that at all?
