David Jaffe wanted people to be "floored by how much cool stuff was inside" Twisted Metal: Head On Extra Twisted Edition for the PS2, and did his best to cram it with special features and goodies. Given the results, we suggest that Jaffe be given the title of Special Edition Designerator and be placed in charge of every special edition to come out from now on.

Let's start with the obvious: you get the original game for the PSP, but it's been a graphic facelift, with better textures and art. There's also a brand new level called Transylvania Castle. The Lost Levels are four brand new levels designed with two-player deathmatch in mind.

You'll also get a code to download the Twisted Metal Symphony, a compilation of tracks from Twisted Metal 1, 2, Black, and Head On. The artistically-inclined members of the audience will enjoy paging through A Continuous Suicide of Reason, a booklet filled with concept art.

The Dark Past is a 30-minute documentary detailing the history of the franchise, and Sweet Tour lets you take control of Sweet Tooth and unlock more concept art by driving him around levels originally built for Twisted Metal Black 2.

Personally, I can't wait to see The Lost Ending Movies, live-action end movies filmed for Twisted Metal
that were deemed "too sexist and too violent" to be included in the first game. As Jaffe puts it, "it’s 2008 now and what was once offensive is now just- to most folks- cheesy and charming."

From sexist and violent to cheesy and charming. That's practically worth the price of admission (a paltry $20) all by itself.
