Well, they're at it again. Tonight, Current will debuted its second installment in the "All Eyes" saga, a crowdsourced look at sourthern rockers My Morning Jacket.

In anticipation, we caught up with director/producer/editor Alex Simmons. This time, turns out fans uploaded 8GB worth of footage. If you keep in mind people are mostly shooting tiny cell phone and handycam clips, that kind of gigage is pretty nuts. But there's more. Says Simmons:

"Just looking at the footage, I can tell that easily a thousand people were filming... I don’t know what happened in the last year in the world of mobile video but of not only did we get a lot more clips then we did with The Shins but the variety of file formats expanded greatly too. ASF, WMV, MOV, MPEG, MP4, AVI, in addition to all the variation of QuickTime codecs. We had loads of problems getting them all to happily coexist on a Final Cut timeline and getting some of the Windows based files to play on a MAC."

Well, we're glad it obviously worked out...
