William Shatner's got a new frontier, and it's not the upcoming Star Trek movie.

Shatner recently signed on to host a series of "Ask The Expert" videos for VideoJug, a site that specializes in how-to and instructional content.

The actor famous for his portrayal of Captain Kirk (and the former star of lesser-known but classic '80s show TJ Hooker) sheds insight on his short-lived rap career, how he's managed to stay in the game so long and why he hates being famous.

Fans eager to hear Shatner sling mud or dish personal dirt should look elsewhere: When asked to reflect on the train-wrecking trend of pop stars Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan, Shatner delivers an oh-so-simple, less-than-inspiring, painfully obvious reply ("discipline.")

Still, fanboys and fangirls will want to tune in for Shatner, uncensored -- some of it rambling, some it of oddly raw and poignant.

Though my initial pawing through the videos did turn up a strange series of celebrity impressions, I have yet to see anything quite up to the* caliber of Rocket Man*-awesomeness.

Nonetheless -- keep hope alive. Shatner hasn't let us down yet.
