In a move sure to please his thousands of Facebook fans, blogger Robert Scoble, pictured, has been hired by Mansueto Ventures to head up a new online video venture under the FastCompany brand. (Scoble also posted his own explanation of the move.) Scoble, who has cut a wide swath through the Web 2.0 world as a tech pundit, blogger and self-promoter, previously worked for Microsoft's Channel 9 division and video startup PodTech. This marks the third recent major defection from PodTech's executive ranks. Analyst Jeremiah Owyang left PodTech for Forrester Research in August and PodTech founder and CEO John Furrier was ousted in October.
