Turns out there are worse things for freedom-loving iPhone owners than Apple's upcoming 1.1.3 firmware update -- the fake version of the 1.1.3 update. Security dudes at US-CERT say a Trojan masquerading as an advance copy of the 1.1.3 installation file is circulating. Beware of anything labeled "iPhone firmware 1.1.3 prep."
So far, the vandalware doesn't seem to be particularly malicious, but who wants to take unnecessary chances with the iPhone's delicate ecosystem?
