General Electric, which has yet to take over the consumer camera market, has nine new models for 2008 that include a few interesting novelties. In the ongoing race to elaborate on the by-now standard face-detection, the new GE shooters include both smile detection and blink detection to ensure the camera grabs a shot when subjects are wide-eyed and happy-looking.
