We're not sure how we missed this story. Eric Greenberg, founder of formerly high-flying tech consulting firm Scient, has been accused of consigning some counterfeit wine.

Billionaire William Koch filed a claim against Zachys Wine Auctions, alleging Greenberg sold him some counterfeit Bordeaux wine, according to Wine Spectator. (Zachys auctioned off 17,000 bottles from Greenberg's wine cellar in October 2005, according to the report). Greenberg's attorney adamantly denies the allegations.

All has been quiet on the Greenberg front. Last we heard from him, he was complaining to the New York Times that he lost 90 percent of his fortune -- but he still thinks nothing of throwing $15,000 dinner parties. From what we can gather, Greenberg was most recently CEO of Innovation Investments (which we assume is his investment vehicle).
