Logitech's Squeezebox Duet wireless music system
has been making big waves here in Las Vegas, and now, Last.fm users have more cause for excitement. When you listen to your tunes through Logitech's Duet, Squeezebox, or Transporter devices, Last.fm will now scrobble the tracks and update your profile.

Aside from letting friends know what you've been listening to, this increases the accuracy of Last.fm's music recommendations. Last.fm users will also be able to create custom radio stations and playlists directly from the Logitech devices.

Execs on both sides of the deal immediately leapt at each others' throats, launching hostile quotes at each other in a series of press releases. Just kidding:

Martin Stiksel, co-founder ofLast.fm: "We're very pleased to be able to offer the Last.fm experience for the first time on a hardware audio device.
Moving into home entertainment and having Last.fm on the stereo is a big move for us, and it’s great to be able to do this with an innovative partner like Logitech."

Robin Selden, vice president of Logitech's streaming media systems unit: "Logitech is pleased to be the first official hardware partner of Last.fm, world's largest social music platform with over 20 million active users. When Last.fm subscribers listen to their music using the Logitech Squeezebox, Last.fm builds a detailed profile of each user's musical taste by recording details of all the songs the user listens to. Now users can create custom radio stations and playlists from any of the audio tracks in Last.fm's music library without having to be sitting at the PC. And the Squeezbox allows that music to be enjoyed throughout the home."
