Tabula Rasa developer Destination Games is offering gamers the chance to become an NPC in their sci-fi MMO* *, with proceeds going to benefit Child's Play, the annual charity drive set up by the creators of Penny Arcade to benefit hospitalized children.
The winning bidder will have a non-player character named after them and placed somewhere in the virtual world of Tabula Rasa. If the winner happens to be a Tabula Rasa player, they will also be escorted to their eponymous NPC by none other than Richard "General British" Garriott himself, the game's lead designer.
Destination Games is also offering two other auctions each containing a signed copy of Tabula Rasa, a set of the Tabula Rasa dog tags given away at E3 2006, a developer challenge coin, an AFS clearance card (only given to European press during the beta), and a picture of Garriott in his full "Lord British" regalia (see right).
