Sony gets the jump on CES by announcing a new entry-level digicam this week. The Cyber-shot DSC-S730 is a 7.2-megapixel shooter with 3x zoom, 2.4-inch LCD screen, battery life rated at 440 shots per charge and Motion JPEG (?!?) video recording. It launches in Europe next month. Price and U.S. availability are TBA.
