Even after watching the demonstration video several times, I'm still not exactly sure of the point behind the Fentix Cube, created by former missile designer Andrew Fentem. But it looks groovy enough that I'll have no complaint if it's becomes the inspiration for countless game controllers and other devices, as the BBC posits.
