Fury developer Auran announced this morning that they have laid off all of their employees and closed the studio.
The forum post relaying the news assures fans that this is not the end of Fury. While the original team has been laid off, Auran has put together a smaller development team that will handle the launch of the title, future content updates and any further patching it may need.
This news comes on the heels of Auran's announcement that Fury would be receiving a patch upon launch which would make the title free to play.
At the time of the earlier announcement Auran CEO Tony Hilliam somewhat cryptically stated, "we will ... have some bad news to follow, but there will be a very positive end to the week." News of the studio's closure and the dismissal of Auran's employees is obviously the bad news he was referring to, but what exactly could be the "positive end" he mentioned that could make this all better?
