Apple_canada_itunesApple has long promised Canadian iTunes users they'd be able to buy and watch something other than animated short films from Pixar. And on Wednesday, the company finally delivered -- albeit in a very limited way.

In fact, with just a handful of new options -- four shows from the CBC and CTV, as well as some content from MTV, Comedy Central and Nickelodeon -- the move looks more like a last-minute attempt to make good on a promise than anything else. To cover up for the fact that there's still no iPhone in Canada, there will also be select Stanley Cup matches compliments of the NHL. Oh, and all episodes will run CAN $1.99, which for a two-hour Stanley Cup final, ain't bad.
