Yeah, I know…the year in review – how predictable for a New Year’s Eve blog post.

We’ve agreed as a society (for the most part) when the end/start of our trip around the Sun is. The end of the year is indeed a good time to look back and reflect on the happenin’s over the course of a year.

I started blogging toward the end of 2006, but it took a few months to get the hang of it and find my “voice”, for lack of a better term. So, I consider 2007 to really be the first year doing this. Here are some highlights, organized by month:

January

  • the first Where on (Google)Earth? post

  • story and links about National Park Service, creationism, and the Grand Canyon

February

March

April

May

June

July

August

  • nit-picking science reporting

  • the initiation of The Accretionary Wedge geology carnival

  • late August was when I did the name change (blog used to be “…Or Something”) and the move from Blogger to WordPress (so worth it)

September

October

November

December

See you in 2008 … hope you all continue to read Clastic Detritus!
