Been to a YouTube screening lately? Not in the privacy of your own bedroom, but projected large over cocktails and beer? It's a great party idea, and it's spreading.
The Asian Art Museum in San Francisco held a fusion arts night Thursday to promote upcoming film festivals. So, after strolling the collection, gawping at Issey Miyake's sculptural clothing, admiring artist Hiroshi Sugimoto's take on history, and maybe listening to the curator's lecture – next up was squashing up on sofas for the up-large YouTube Challenge. And what did the buzzy mix of photography, film and fashion lovers pick to make the final cut? Some old faves – the Chinese Backstreet Boys, Prisoner Thriller, Sneezing Panda, Human Tetris (Parts I and II). But the night's biggest applause was garnered by this wedding dance with a twist.
