WikiPediaVision is a Google Maps mash-up that displays edits to the English Wikipedia site as they happen on a Google Map. Similar to its inspirations Twittervision and Flickrvision, WikiPediaVision uses the Google Maps API to display edit data grabbed from Wikipedia. Using an IP-to-country database WikiPediaVision converts the editor's IP address to the geodata displays you see on the page.
WikiPediaVision was designed and built by Laszlo Kozma, a grad-student at the Helsinki University of Technology. Back when we wrote about Flickrvision we mentioned that developer David Troy, who's responsible for both of the other “vision” sites, was trying to create a more generic visualization platform, but as far as well can tell Troy was not involved in this project.
WikiPediaVision isn't quite as fast-paced as either of the other two, but it still makes an interesting way to visualize what's happening on Wikipedia.
