Truly one of the best car commercials in recent years, this ad for the French automaker Renault demonstrates the company's commitment to crashworthiness better than any number of gold stars ever could. Shot in South Africa, the ad is directed by Silvio Helbig and features ten brilliantly choreographed Renaults — and a stunning amount of vehicular carnage. The music, by the way, is Offenbach's "Ballet de Flocons de Neige" (Ballet of the Snowflakes), and comes courtesy of the Czech National Symphony Orchestra in Prague. C'est magnifique!

After you've watched the commercial, be sure to check out the "making of" video. Find both after the break.
