New York's Time Warner Center has everything -- Whole Foods, Borders Books, two juice bars, plus 40 other shops -- but it doesn't have a cafe.With a full house the Time Warner Center doesn't have anymore real estate to offer a cafe, so it's inviting the Quik House to move in temporarily on the plaza outside the center. Developed by Adam Kalkin, the pop-up coffeeshop, which was a huge hit at the 52nd Venice Biennale, is a streetside metal box that unfolds in 90 seconds to become a fully furnished space with the press of a button.
My question though regarding the photo at the very top, does some kind of wall drop down to hide the toilet? Because I know New Yorkers aren't shy, but that might be pushing it
The illy cafe will unfold November 28th, just in time for Christmas shopping mayhem!
