One of OS X Leopard's much vaunted new bits of eye candy is the 3-D dock with reflective icons. Of course beauty is in the eye of the beholder, what Steve Jobs thinks is eye catching may well drive you to fits. Luckily Apple seems to have had a change of heart. It appears that Apple has been listening to the negative user feedback and decided to offer up the old dock look for those that want it.
Mac Rumors reports that the Gold Master of Leopard includes an option to turn off the 3-D aspect of the Leopard's dock, which is great news for those of us that keep the dock on the side of the screen where the 3-D element looks a bit ridiculous.
We just hope this option isn't one of the “top-secret” features rumored to be in the final version of Leopard.
