Henrik Fisker can't keep a secret. The designer has released this photo of his forthcoming (and still unnamed) premium plug-in hybrid sedan, well in advance of its debut at January's North American International Auto Show in Detroit. In addition to designing some of the world's great automotive beauties, including the BMW Z8 and the Aston Marton DB9, Fisker has made a name for himself by making production cars of questionable beauty into absolute stunners. He rebodied the reasonably attractive Mercedes-Benz SL into the lovely Tramanto, and the BMW 6-series coupe into the gorgeous Latigo CS (pictured, above right). Designed in cooperation with the California-based Quantum Technologies, this plug-in hybird sedan is expected to offer a range of 50 miles a pure electric charge; with the help of a gasoline or diesel engine, range will jump to more than 620 miles — and the car will return 100 mpg in the process. Fisker expects his sedan to sell for about $80,000 when it goes on sale late in 2009.
