Apple is holding a press conference in London next Tuesday, and, as you might expect, speculation of a Euro iPhone is rampant. The rumor mongers have named everyone from Vodophone to T-Mobile as possible carriers, but the most likely candidates seem to be Spanish Telefonica's O2 UK, Deutsche Telekom's T-Mobile and, in France, possibly France Telecom's Orange.

Of course Apple is maintaining it's usual “no comment” stance, though the company has said that it will announce which telecoms operators it will partner with by the end of September.

But the real question of every U.S. user's mind: will a Euro iPhone have 3G support? And if it does, will you be able to buy one, unlock it and use it on 3G carriers in the U.S.? Oh to dream.
