While toying around with iTunes, developer David Watanabe stumbled upon a rather interesting bit of information contained in an iTunes error report list (see screenshot here).
The list contained several movie rental error report options, one of which read, "DidNotReceive-RentalMovie." Watanabe said,* "I was trying to report a problem via iTunes, and this pop-up for selecting a reason contains some interesting/revealing strings... looks like 'RentalMovies' will be coming to the iTunes store." *
Judging by the screenshot, it looks like Watanabe is right. He goes on to say that the option was subsequently removed, but the slip-up from Apple offers a tantalizing hint that the movie rentals so many have been waiting for from iTunes may be about to hit the Web.
