Over at Google Blogoscopeda, Philipp Lenssen has news of a leaked internal Google video, "Nooglers And The PDB: Reactor (Ben Darnell, September 6, 2007)," that briefly made its way onto a public Google Video page yesterday.
Although now removed, the video reportedly highlighted how Google will create a standard for feed publishers to inform aggregators about changes as well as integrate more social features into some of its apps. One specific project discussed, "Mocha-Mocha,Maka-Maka" is supposedly the code name for Google's social efforts across all of its applications. These include a new feature called Activity Streams that will be implemented in Reader this quarter and will be comparable to Facebook's News Feed feature. Activity Streams will also integrate Gmail's address book and contact list. According to those who've seen the video, Google Reader will also start recommending feeds based on previous subscriptions and activity in the near future.
Lenssen was supposedly tipped off by a reader who also provided some notes from the video, which was presented by a Ben Darnell. So far, Lenssen says he has confirmed that Darnell works at Google.
Google, however, has not yet confirmed if the information in the video is accurate.
