BMW's Chairman Norbert Reithofer gave a speech today about the firm's corporate strategy and all of that fascinating business stuff, but buried down below the release were some cool tidbits about upcoming models. One that stuck out in my mind was the upcoming Mini sport activity vehicle model. Does that mean it will look something like an SUV? After all, BMW calls its X series SUVs "sport activity vehicles." Is a Mini SUV really possible? So far, no other details are available. The pic here is not of the Mini SAV, but of a BMW X6 Concept unveiled earlier this month.

Other firsts to look out for from BMW include: A new BMW X1 SUV, a four-dour Gran Turismo based on the CS concept study showcased in Shanghai, and a possible smaller version of its fabled Rolls-Royce models.

BMW said it will also launch a "fundamentally altered concept called Progressive Activity
Sedan (PAS)." "This concept will establish an entirely new segment, introducing a unique interpretation of the sedan and offering a wide range of intelligent features," BMW said.
