There's alot of buzz around the Garmin booth this year because they've brought ANT Sport technology to their Edge 705 bicycle-specific GPS, which allows the unit to communicate with power meters like the new Cinqo sensor. Want a map to see where you're going? They put that in there too. Spring for the bundle option and the Edge will even tell you where to find a post-ride Starbucks.

The ANT Sport thing is cool because it's not proprietary, and lets any power sensor manufacturer use the technology to allow their product to link with the 705.

Garmin will launch the 705 next January, along with the new 605, which includes mapping capability but no ANT Sport, HRM or altimeter. The 705 retains all the goodies of its 305 predecessor like a heart-rate monitor and barometric altimeter. Both units now have bright, color screens.

Expect to pay about $400 for the Edge 605, $500 for the 705 and $650 for the 705 Bundle with speed/cadence sensor and City Navigator North America microSD card, which Garmin says basically turns the Edge into a Nuvi for your bike, with automapping and the ability to lookup addresses.
