Filed under "too little too late" is the news that The New York Times just launched its Web 2.0 offering called MyTimes. The new offering is meant to allow readers to customize their NYTimes.com experience, but this has been tried before (remember MyYahoo?) and history has shown that most Internet users aren't necessarily desperate for a way to customize their news experience. If this move does anything it just moves us just a smidge closer to the inevitable shuttering of the NYTimes' paid content component TimesSelect.
