We all know Al-Qaeda’s propaganda videos are getting slicker and slicker. Here’s the newest evidence*: a computer-animated recreation of a March 2006 suicide attack that killed U.S. diplomat David Foy in Karachi, Pakistan. Okay, no one is going to confuse the clip with Finding Nemo or some other digitally-generated Pixar classic. But it does show just how sophisticated the terror group’s production techniques are becoming.
The latest tape also features the rants of one of the men who claims to have been behind the Karachi attack — Adam Gadahn, a.k.a. "Azzam al-Amriki." "We shall continue to target you, at home and abroad, just as you target us, at home and abroad, and these spy dens and military command and control centers from which you plotted your aggression against Afghanistan and Iraq," he says.
To IntelCenter CEO Ben Venzke, that’s one of several "significant indicators" in the video "of possible increased targeting by al-Qaeda against the diplomatic facilities and personnel of the US, India and NATO member countries around the world."
