We contacted PodTech’s founder John Furrier (pictured right) earlier today about the company's recent moves and he informed us that effective yesterday, the company has a new CEO by the name of James McCormick. Furrier will continue to serve on the board of directors. Before the promotion, McCormick was the company’s Chief Operating Officer. Furrier said, “James has demonstrated the operational leadership to take PodTech to the next level.”
In other PodTech news, recently departed employee Irina Slutsky revealed that PodTech now owns the rights to her Vloggies show title, thus ending her involvement in the event. But that isn’t stopping Slutsky from acting as a supporter of the video blog space. Slutsky has announced a new awards show called The Winnies (more details here) scheduled to debut December 1st in Los Angeles.
