MTV and MySpace just announced a partnership that will offer a series of live dialogues between America's presidential candidates and young Internet users. The conversations be streamed live on MTV and MySpace (via MySpaceTV.com) and last one-hour per session. The first conversation scheduled is with former Senator John Edwards, who will be streamed live from New Hampshire on Thursday, September 27.

Chris DeWolfe, co-founder and CEO of MySpace, said,* “We are lowering the barriers to entry, setting a high-water mark for direct engagement between Presidential candidates and average Americans.”* Other candidates scheduled to participate include Sen. Hillary Clinton, Sen. Barack Obama, Former Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Sen. Sam Brownback, Sen. Chris Dodd, Rep. Duncan Hunter, Sen. John McCain, Rep. Ron Paul, Gov. Bill Richardson, and Former Gov. Mitt Romney.

Although some might look with skepticism at this latest social media overture by the presidential candidates, because the event will offer live dialogue—not the pre-recorded/canned interaction seen during the YouTube debates—these events will certainly offer a better look at how the candidates handle themselves under the microscope of the so-called "Millennials" generation.
