On the latest episode of Leo Laporte’s Net@Nite broadcast, Canadian co-host Amber MacArthur chided Laporte by asking him if he would follow other TechTV alums and join Revision3. Ouch! While the famously affable MacArthur probably didn’t mean the comment to sting as much as it did, Laporte’s frustration was evident.

Declaring that TWiT has more listeners than Revision3 and completely ruling out ever accepting any Revision3 job offer, Laporte said, “I am not for sale!” Laporte is certainly one of the most credible and talented of the tech podcasting world, but a quick comparison of the two sites on Compete disputes his notion that TWiT is more popular than Revision3.

Revision3, the network created by former Laporte protégé Kevin Rose is clearly out-pacing the network built by the veteran broadcaster. On the upside, TWiT is the place the brought us the historic Web 2.0 bubble moment in which Rocketboom's Andrew Baron—currently struggling to find ads for the show—profiled himself as the future Rupert Murdoch.
