Earlier today Robert Scoble asked Epicenter,* "Are you trying to compete with Valleywag? Is that what the tech press has come to lately?"* Answer: No. But despite Scoble's apparently low opinion of Valleywag, we now have proof that the much-maligned tech gossip site is more popular in Silicon Valley than anyone wants to admit.

A Facebook group has been created called "Slammed By Valleywag" with the tag line, "You have been slammed (inaccurately of course) by Valleywag." Currently the traumatized support group boasts 101 members. The list of members reads like a who's who of the tech insider set with some railing passionately against the site and others openly courting a mention. Yes, we joined, just in case.
