Web traffic tracker Compete is set to debut a new feature called Compete Search Analytics on September 12. The Web-based service will offer a pay-as-you-go option allowing anyone to mine the company's data pool without making a large cash commitment.
According to Compete, the service will allow users to search data from Google, Yahoo, MSN, Windows Live, Ask and AOL. This announcement comes just weeks after Compete, created by serial entrepreneur Bill Gross (pictured right), received a $10 million cash infusion from VC firm Charles River Ventures, Idealab, William Blair Capital Partners, and Split Rock Partners.
