Volume two of Ivan Brandon’s fantastic “24seven” anthology (Image Comics) is out now with 200 more pages of shorts based on the concept of a futuristic New York populated entirely by robots. Brandon, who calls this his “robot sandbox,” has put together and edited another great group of artists and authors such as Gene Ha, Dave Johnson, Gabriel Bá, Fábio Moon, Jason Aaron and many others. The illustrations are scorching hot with tales of robots in a coma, robotic firefighters hell-bent on making blazes more deadly, robots addicted to batteries and more speculative scenarios of robot society than you could possibly dream for.

Fans are encouraged not only to attend tonight’s book release party in New York, but also to bring their own robots along (you know you have one). The party is at Village Pourhouse (64 Third Ave at 11th St.) and starts with an open bar from 6-7pm, and then 2 for 1 Absolut drinks "until forever."
