Porsche is making no bones about its upcoming 911 GT2: the new model is the fastest, most-powerful, and meanest street-legal 911 yet, the firm says. The race car's two exhaust-gas turbochargers help charge up the 3.6-liter boxer engine to a maximum horsepower of 530 (its power-to-weight ratio is 2.72 kg/6.00 lb per horsepower unit). Porsche says the 911 GT2 can race from zero to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds--which is actually on par with the 911 Turbo on sale now. Gas consumption: on the average, is 22.6 mpg, Porsche says.
A key feature is its electronically controlled Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM). Not sure how its PASM differs from the Cayenne S' chassis stability system, which debuted in March in the U.S., or from the 911 Turbo's existing system.
Don't forget the price tag: $191,700
