Three Welsh engineers have taken a stab at reducing greenhouse gas emissions with a technology dubbed the "Greenbox." The device mounts on the underside of a car's chassis where it swallows up carbon dioxide and nitrous oxide. When the driver stops at a gas station to fill up, he swaps out his filled Greenbox for a fresh one. The the captured emissions are then processed to produce biodiesel. The success of the Greenbox would seem to hinge on how easy it is to remove and replace the device, but its creators are nonetheless hopeful that someone will be interested enough in their technology to produce it.
