UPDATE: It's just past 11:30am and Facebook is back up, but it's moving very slowly. The total downtime was several hours -- possibly as many as 6 or 7 in some areas.
The popular social networking site Facebook took a dive this morning. The website has been inaccessible for at least half an hour for us -- as of this writing, it's still down at 11:23am Pacific time. No word on what's causing the outage, or if it's actually part of a system-wide upgrade. We'll keep you posted.
