You'd think there wouldn't be a whole lot of room for improvement on wheelchair design, but that's what a group of Polish students have done. Using Autodesk Inventor software, they designed the "Wheelchair for the 21st Century" a muscular machine with 26-inch wheels that employs a gyroscope under the seat for extra stability and maneuverability. The concept took the grand prize in the Autodesk Inventor Student Design Contest.
