We post a lot of videos at ToM. There's a reason for it: I'm lazy. But it does also seem silly, now that broadband is ubiquitous enough, not embrace the YouTube movement. There's 100 years of forgotten weirdos and maverick eccentrics captured on film to rediscover.
Unfortunately, YouTube can be a bitch to browse through if you don't know what you're looking for. There's Web 2.0 style sites like Videosift to get through them, but I prefer the collective sensibility and discrimination of POETV... in my view, the best video filtering site out there.
Oh, sure, every kitten video gets 5 stars. It's prone to strange passing memes, like Ventrilo Server Harassment and uploading the "Lisa Needs Braces" Simpsons scene in every language it ever broadcast. But no video sifting site has half as witty a commenter base, or manages to find the videos that tickles the cephalophile's G-spot time and time again.
