Goggles

There's only one authoritative steampunk blog out there, and it's Brass Goggles. No other blog is so obsessed with well-oiled leather, or screaming steam engines, or the bubbling vials of the Victorian scientist. No other blog is as rust-flecked and brass bright. And no other blogger captures the smoky enantiomorph reflection of an entire fringe movement in their perfectly oval sky captain goggles as the delirious and wonderful Tinkergirl.

There's not much more I can say: any post on Brass Goggles has a significant chance of finding its way to ToM. Brass Goggles is the site that truly got me passionate about the aesthetics and mythos of steampunk: if you've ever seen a Cthulhu fetus in a jar, or a steampunk Han Solo, or a lycanthrope research kit on ToM (and you have), chances are I first found out about it via Brass Goggles.

Long live Tinkergirl!
