Three Legged Legs' short film Ricochet showcases some incredibly impressive CGI. The plot is throwaway — a drop-ship of futuristic troops land in a shipping yards warzone, only to be sniped at by a local insurgency — but some of the CGI work seems indistinguishably realistic. The expository on the making of the short is fascinating, though should be viewed with either your computer's sound off or with screwdrivers plunged into your ear canals.
Incidentally, these are the same guys who did the incredible Samurai short we posted about earlier this year. They seem to be a CGI house worth keeping an eye on.
