All your AV toys are in your living room, but your broadband connection is in the home office at the back of the house. How do you get those devices on your network without weaving a web of cable throughout your home? Slingbox has just announced a couple of adapters that aim to solve this conundrum. The SlingLink TURBO 1 Port ($100) and TURBO 4
($150) Port bring high-speed network connectivity via your home's existing power lines. Each Turbo Port comes packaged as a pair; one unit plugs into an AC outlet near your Slingbox or other media device you want to add to your network, the other plugs into a router-adjacent outlet, instantly connecting you to the Internet without any additional configuration or cable installation. The Turbo 4 Port, available now, can connect up to four Ethernet-ready devices; the Turbo 1 Port allows a single connection and will be available in the coming weeks.
