Boing Boing pointed out this incredible video of Joseph Stalin being greeted in Nazi-liberated Berlin by his thousands of worshipful German fans, including a few concentration camp victims (still in uniform!) The only problem? Stalin never went to Berlin. Upon seeing this movie, he apparently said that he wished he had. Stalin was a master of documenting fake history, not only by creating film reels of imaginary events but by altering existing photographs to remove party members who'd fallen out of favor (either by defection or execution).
