Today's news cycles move too fast for static bumperstickers. To help your bumper stay relevant, Roadmaster USA's Scrolling Digital License Plate ($59) displays up to 5 customized 120-character messages, so you can make your stance on contemporary issues clear to fellow motorists.
Unfortunately, the messages have to be painstakingly entered one character at a time using up/down arrows on the included wireless remote, rather than via USB, Bluetooth, or even serial port connection to a computer. Once you have your messages programmed, though, you can use the remote to toggle your scrolling message from within the car -- so long as you remember what order they're in, since there's no display on the remote. Installation requires routing into your car's trunk light circuit; the manual explains how (to a certain extent).
Roadmaster includes a few standardized sayings such as "Help me," "Slow down," "Turning left," "Your lights aren't working," "Baby on Board," although the customized message function is way more interesting. Perhaps a selection of political commentary plus zingers for tailgaters, Hummer drivers, and other vehicle-borne irritants would be the best mix.
