The left hemisphere of my addled brain infused with alcohol over Japanese, I can tell you almost nothing about this image short of Hugo Strikes Back's intriguing post title, "An advertisement for wartime Japanese wine." However, looking at the images, it appears that the wine is meant to be inserted into the bottom of the gas mask hose and slurped up, elephant like. That can't be right, but I almost don't want to have my illusions dashed. Nevertheless, commenting is all about you super-smart Japanese speakers to start a post with the word "Actually..." followed by a summary dismissal of my wishful theory. Get to it, boys and girls.
