This has got to be the wackiest flying robot I've seen in a while. Ladies and gents, meet the SHARC:
The twin rotor drone just had its first flight test, apparently. A three-foot-model of the "Scouting and Hunting Autonomous Rotor Craft" was able to hover around, despite the drone's undersea appearance.
Speaking of which, doesn't the thing look more like Shamu-the-Killer-Whale than like a shark? Not that the robot's makers at EADS had much of a choice in the name. The company already has a robo-copter called the ORKA-1200.
